What advantages does laser cladding have over other coating methods?
It offers less dilution, a strong metallurgical bond and minimal thermal impact on the base part.

The advantages of laser cladding over competing technologies (HVOF, PTA, TIG) are lower dilution, which preserves the properties of the material applied to the surface; better metallurgical adhesion, which ensures that the coating does not come off; a minimal heat-affected zone, which preserves the mechanical properties of the original component at the crystalline structure level; and, compared to manual processes, control and high repeatability.
